Kerry Sheppard

I am interested in ageism, elder abuse, and intersectionality. More particularly, I focus on how the combination of ageism and intersecting identities, such as race and gender, (1) contributes to elder abuse, (2) makes getting help more challenging, and (3) compounds negative outcomes for older adults who experience abuse. I am also interested in ageism and intersectionality outside of the abuse context.
